Dr. Michael Dans is a board certified dermatologist who specializes in medical and surgical dermatology. Dr. Dans performs all facets of medical dermatology, such as skin cancer screenings, mole checks, and diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema and atopic dermatitis. He also performs dermatologic surgical procedures, including removal of skin cancers and pre-cancerous skin lesions, cysts, lipomas and other bothersome skin growths, and provides the latest in cosmetic dermatology.
Our office is conveniently located in the 490 Post Street medical building near Union Square and provides a casual and comfortable atmosphere for our patients. Our office suite is in a historic medical building and has served as a dermatology practice since the 1920's. It has been the practice location of some of San Francisco's most notable dermatologists, such as Dr. Eugene Farber, who was the former chairman of dermatology at Stanford, and Dr. Harold Schneidman, who was also Stanford faculty when the medical school was located in San Francisco.
